I feel a tax hike coming. The sheriff spoke of a new jail during a public meeting. The city kept the double taxation piece when they passed a tax hike for the new fire district/building. How about a sales tax? That'll solve everything, right? ;o)

Oh sure, no money for the important things. In the meantime they want to hire a second deputy county administrator - adding to already bloated administrative overhead. If the county administrator can't do his job or the commissioners can't do their jobs, then they need to leave. It makes zero sense for a county the size of Yamhill county to have a deputy county administrator, let alone two deputies.
